Our journey begins in Tallinn, where we will explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town and visit the Jewish Museum Tallinn, uncovering layers of history at every corner. We will also see significant sites such as the Tallinn Synagogue and Old Jewish Cemetery, as well as the Klooga Memorial, a haunting reminder of Holocaust history.
From Tallinn, we travel to Riga, where we will engage with the city’s Jewish history through a guided tour of the Old Town and its Jewish heritage sites. Discussions with historians, civil society representatives, and members of local Jewish communities give valuable insights into the region's history and its relevance today.
Our final destination is Vilnius, where we will walk through the former Jewish quarter, visit the Vilna Gaon Jewish Museum, and reflect on the powerful narratives presented in exhibitions like "A Rescued Lithuanian Jewish Child Tells the Story of the Shoah." At the Ponary Memorial, we will confront the devastating impact of the Holocaust in Lithuania. The journey concludes with a reflective session at the Museum of Litvak Culture and Identity, where we can share our thoughts and impressions.
